You can use a photo or other picture for the background of a plan. This is done by creating a Signage item (Master Edition only) that's the same size as your plan. The photo assigned to the signage item will stretch to fit the dimensions you give the signage item.

After you finish your plan, place the signage item onto the plan and use the Send to Back command to put the item into the background.

The Send to Back command in version 15 of the Master Edition will put the signage item as the backmost item. In other version of the Master Edition, you may need to use the Send to Back command a number of times to get it as the backmost item.
