Master Edition Details

This is the Shelf Logic® Master Edition Main Screen. In the middle is a finished planogram with notes and on the right is a list of the products in your database.

To add products to your plan, you just click on the desired product on the list and just drag it onto the plan. It's as simple as that. And that's the slowest way to add items to your plan. You can use our Next Location feature to fill a shelf from left to right by just double-clicking a product on the list. Each time you do, it appears in the next available shelf location. Even faster is our Rapid Item Placement Processor, which lets you fill an entire shelf or peg area with a single mouse click. And finally, our Smart Plan feature lets you build an entire display automatically.

In addition, you can also quickly duplicate a single facing into multiple faces vertically and/or horizontally.

Database information can be entered directly using Shelf Logic or you can import your database from Excel, from SQL Server or any ODBC database. A UPC Code, height, width and depth are all you need to start planogramming.

When your plan is finished, you can print it to paper, PDF or image files. You can copy your plan to the clipboard to include it in other applications. Or for the most effective presentation of your plan, create a Reader File, which is a special read-only plan file that you open using the free Reader software available from our site. You can scroll and zoom, look at product data, even run reports, you just can't make any changes.

Once your plan is finished, built-in reports show how the shelves and pegs are put together and what products are on the plan. Space Analysis reports tell you how efficiently you're utilizing your available space and which items get the most space. Financial Analysis reports tell you potential profit each time you make changes and shows you how to get the most profit from your plan.

Shelf Logic Master Edition comes complete with a 155 page Manual that shows you how to use the program and all of it's commands and features.

The Master Edition has all of the features of Pro plus many, many more features, including:

Bar Code Scanner - Scan UPC Codes into Master Edition and create a planogram in minutes.
Support for Over 20 Image Types - (Pro supports only 2 types) Image types including jpg, bmp, gif, targa, png, pcx, Kodak Photo CD, MacPaint, and many more.
Transparent backgrounds - allow product nesting on items such as brooms. Transparency is supported for all image types.
Higher Resolution Prints - Printing now has 2 resolutions so you can print more detailed photos. And the print to image feature can now create an image up to 6000 x 6000 pixels, capable of creating super high resolution prints and for making extra large prints.
Signage - Signs are now allowed in the plan. They can also simulate fixtures.
Product Rotation - Products can be flipped, turned and rotated to any angle in all 3 axis. Products can be turned on their sides and the product photo will turn with them.
Easy Product Placement - Products snap to shelves and guidelines. Use Guidelines to perfectly position groups of products top bottom, left or right. Variable Sized Grid aids in product placement.
Automation Aids - Our Smart Shelf feature automatically puts faces together for closest fit and keeps shelves perfectly aligned between uprights. The Auto Stack feature calculates the maximum number of items that can fit behind a facing.
Super Fast Product Placement - Our new RIP (Rapid Item Placement) Processor lets you fill an entire shelf or peg area with a single mouse click. Our Next Location feature lets you fill a shelf from left to right each time you double-click on an item in the Item list. Cut & Paste groups of items to different part of the same plan or into another plan.
Notes - On screen and printed notes can be created in choice of color and font style. Notes can be resized and moved around. Use them to indicate and comment on product facings, plan areas, etc.
Better Shelf Placement - Shelves can now be placed a specific distance from the bottom. Peg areas can now be created between shelves.
Customized Database - Field names can be changed and three user defined fields have been added to the database. Shelf Logic uses an Access2000 ODBC compliant database,
Network Capable - Database and plan files can be shared across a network. Ideal for companies with large sales forces and multiple users.
Sales Ranking Reports - Create sales reports for existing planograms that will show ranking by unit sales, dollar sales, and space utilization sales. This can be invaluable to making certain that you are stocking the shelves with the proper products and the correct amount of facings.
Plan Wizards - When starting a new plan or opening an existing plan, there are wizards to guide you through the process of defining the display, setting up shelves and adding items to the plan.
Advanced Printer Options - Combine similar items into a single key number. Greater control over Key Number printing. Choice of font for information displayed in product. Optional printing allowed on product image.

Creating a Planogram

Creating a planogram is so simple anyone can do it. Just tell Shelf Logic the size of your plan and then add any shelves that are needed.

Reporting

There are a variety of built-in reports to help you visualize and analyze your plan. You can print the standard planogram reports which consist of a photo representation of your plan, and the schematic printing of all items with their name and a Key Number that identifies the product. A companion Product Listing Report is printed that shows you the product for each Key Number on the plan.
