Importing from Excel When importing from Excel, you must have the information in the proper column order. The Excel file to be imported must also be saved as a comma delimited file, which is saved with a .CSV extension.You can use the Import Template included in the Shelf Logic Master Edition folder or download it here. Open it in Excel and fill in the appropriate information. The minimum amount of information needed is a UPC Code, and the height, width and depth. The other information is optional, except for: Item Type - This is a "P" for a peg item or "S" for a shelf item. If you leave this blank, a "P" is assumed. Outline Color - This is the color of the border of the product box displayed on the screen. It's a number from 1 to 16, indicating a color from the chart below. If you leave this blank, a 9 (black) is assumed.
Fill Color - This is the fill color of the product box displayed on the screen. It's a number from 1 to 16, indicating a color from the chart above. If you leave this blank, a 1 (white) is assumed. Pattern - This is the pattern of the product box displayed on the screen. It's a number from 1 to 7, as shown in the chart below. I fyou leave this blank, a 1 (solid) is assumed.
When you're finished in Excel, be sure to save this completed file as a comma delimited (.CSV) type of file. Ignore the Excel message that formatting will be removed.
