This is the Shelf Logic® Batch Resize Screen.

For the Source, you can select photos in a database or in a folder, and optionally in all sub folders.

If you choose to create Thumbnails, you can store them in the original image location, or you can store them in the local drive, which will be faster if the original location is on a network or slower drive.

If you choose to Resize images, you have a choice of resolutions or keep them the original size. You can also choose to change the file type to a:

BMP
GIF
JPG
PCX
PNG
TGA
TIFF

The Destination for the resized or changed images can be the original folder or any other folder of your choice.

For Options, you can choose to resize all images or just those since the last run.

Example:

In this example, we will take images from the "c:\images\pog images" folder and sub-folders and create thumbnails in this same folder(s). We will also resize the images into 400 pixels and store them in the original folder(s). The images will be backed up before resizing so you will still have the original images.
